I had a busy lead up to September/October this year, as it was my Grandma's 90th Birthday. We celebrated it at Windy Point, South Australia and I designed all the floral arrangements for the event.

Mum and dad were doing their once in a lifetime mega house cleanup. They have a room near their bedroom, which they refer to as "the spa room". It has the plumbing ready for a spa, but no spa bath. And has always been unlovingly used as the "junk room". Amongst all the boxes piled high were a few glorious finds, one of them being this old Polaroid Camera. So I cleaned it up, thick with dust, and took some high resolution photos of it for people to use in their art.

The theme for this contest was based on my recent polls.
Steampunk was the most popular, but to make it more of a challenge I have added an "aquatic twist" to it and a couple of stock requirements.

UPDATE: Happy New Year & On with the Show

Dear Bloggers,

Firstly I would like to wish you all a very happy new year, I hope you have all enjoyed the festive holidays, and are now starting to settle into creating some new art. What do you think of my new blog background and header? It's nice to have a change.

My mini-art contest "An Art Nouveau Dark Christmas" on deviantart.com has concluded and one overall winner selected, we had some brilliant entries so the decision was quite tricky. My vintage stock friend - Kitty's Vintage Christmas Card contest has also ended recently, she had some very lovely old style Christmas cards. We have both started a new art contest, each, focused around Valentines Day. Be My Valentine is Kitty's new art-contest and mine is LOVE a mini art-contest

I recently finished converting some old fashion images to pre-cut/transparencies in otherwords "PNGs" which seem to be popular among artists of late. I also am working on several new/old freebies, I have a few Vintage Child Stock collage sheets planned. And as usual several other projects on the go both unrestricted freebie stocks and exclusive stock-art. I am bursting with so many ideas I just need a little focus.

Dear Bloggers,

I thought I would share a few of my personal Christmas photos with you all.

This year we had a silver + pink + plum (with bits of red & white) colour scheme and it worked well.

I picked up a selection of flowers from the markets in the city; red Roses, plum Lilliums, Carnations, and a few other varieties. I then arranged them in a set of three red enamel pots (which are normally used for holding coffee, tea and sugar.) An old red metal teapot and an old red metallic thermos which all made for excellent water vessels for my flower arrangements.

CHILD STOCK

I am working on some child-stock packs which will only be available through purchase and of course if you win one of my art-contests or one one of the art contests that I donate prizes to.

They will also be listed as Restricted Use - which basically refers to nothing gruesome as these are of my daughter (who just turned four years old.) and both of us do not wish to see horrific images made of her; as I am sure you will understand. I don't mind "dark" artwork, just not of my little girl - please respect this.
